We have been breeding mini longhair dachshunds for over 15 years. Since we breed for show, temperment, alertness, sound correct structures, & healthy happy dogs are our main goal. As far as we know there are no genetic defects in our dogs because of our cautious breeding program. All of our dogs live in our home as family members. We take pride of being members of The National Miniature Dachshund Club, Florida Gulf Coast Dachshund Club of which I am proud to be President, & AKC. We breed mini longhair dachshunds in coat colors of red, black & tan, black & tan silver dapple, chocolate & tan, & chocolate dapple, and now we are very proud to have added cream to our line. Southwinds Daphne Delight ML a stunning black & tan silver dapple mini longhair girl, "Julia" Ch. Southwinds Pretty Woman ML a beautiful light red mini longhair "total package in a bitch" as quoted by a judge, Ch. Southwinds Sweet Carolyne ML "Carolyne" a lovely red mini longhair, Ch. Southwinds Queen Of Hearts ML "Gypsy" our lovely red longhair girl, Ch. Southwinds Caroline On My Mind ML "Bessie" our lattest beautiful red longhair girl. Our mini longhair studs are Ch. Southwinds Sun Rise ML, "Sonny" our stunning little cream out of "Vickie" who finished his championship in 2 months at the age of only 11 months old & won in 2008 National Mini Best of Variety Longhair, Ch. Southwinds Mighty Mite ML "M&M" our stunning mini red longhair boy who turned heads of judges in every show he was entered, Ch. Southwinds One Moe Time ML, "Moe" our stunning chocolate & tan stud out of "Fancy" finished in just months.,Ch.Add-Sim's Silver Dan ML, "Danny" a beautiful black & tan silver dapple, Ch. Southwinds Chip Off The Rock ML, "Chip" a beautiful little black & tan mini longhair, son of "Rocky", and Ch. Add-Sim's Hard Rock ML, "Rocky", a lovely red mini longhair. Last but not least our lovely little mini smooth black & tan girl Ch. Petalpusher Showtime MS "Liza". Recently our darling "Fancy", Ch. Southwinds Fancy Pants ML our first champion retired to a wonderful home to be a very happy couch potatoe. She comes back to visit with us along with her granddaughter whenever their parents need to take a trip out of town so we can enjoy snuggling too. We miss & love her but she is very happy. |

With little paws a pattering, to take it here & there- and a cold wet nose but then He thought, "Oh, what about the hair? Shall I make it long and silky, or wiry, that's so sweet, or make it simple, and have it smooth and satiny and neat? And what about the color how can I pick just one? Shall it be black, or red or brown or dapple, just for fun?" He pondered while He made the world, And all creatures great & small And then the answer came to Him- "OF COURSE! I'll make them ALL!!"
